About the organization
The Mental Health Research and Development Unit (MHRDU) undertakes important research, evaluation and development in all areas of mental health, specialising in four key areas:- Addictions
- Alcohol, drugs and the family
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health
- Service development and evaluation
- Encourage mental health practitioners to develop research interests and skills
- Encourage academics to develop a greater interest in mental health;
- Work in collaboration with academics, clinicians, practitioners based within Universities, the NHS and statutory and voluntary agencies
- Develop tools and interventions for use by mental health professionals
- Produce work which adds to the evidence base and which can influences policy and practice.
